A really extensive list of brands utilizing twitter can be found at this location, called the twitter brand index. A lot more, than I thought, and a lot more US-focused (for obvious reasons) than I would have liked.
This at least solves the question: is twitter already relevant for marketing? It does not yet solve the [...]

I was going to comment on Pete Blackshaws Post “Twitter Spam“, but unfortunately, the long and complex typekey registration process put me off. So I will comment here and trackback, why not. And I can even add my own screenshots.
In his post, Pete suspects twitter now having spam profiles. I second that, I have a [...]

Twitter has had quite a few technical problems lately. Some people take it the humorous way, some even programmed a website where you can check whether twitter is down or not. (reminds me of isitchristmas.com some people have way too much time…)
Twitter has become very popular. More than one million people are tweeting, some are [...]

Just a quick one: Joost shuts down its global operations and focuses on the US only. Shame, I liked the idea of Joost. But in the end, it was brought down by two main factors that even a technologically smart way of streaming videos can’t solve: first: trying to buy global rights for content that [...]

Guy Kawasaki just launched a new feed aggregator for various topics, 40 different topics sofar. My favourite, of course, is a Social Media news aggregator. The site is full of headlines from many different site, the concept was inspired by popurls. Mashable has a video interview with Guy Kawasaki, which is worth watching.

So I spotted the first twitter aggregator for the ongoing political campaign. Will there be a new communications toy for every presidential election?

Yes, at some point twitter might become mainstream for some purposes. This could be one:

Steve Rubel on the interesting concept of being a “geek marketer“, i.e. being the interface between technology nerds and marketing folks.
Mitch Joel shares a few interesting facts about facebook – probably one of the stickiest sites on the web.
As I was just researching into social bookmarking sites, I found this rather comprehensive list on mashable.com.
And, [...]

Karl Long about enabling co-creative Marketing by making sure whatever you do is shareable, mashable or hackable. Very interesting thoughts that should be considered when writing briefs.
You can now track certain words on twitter, receiving updates whenever anyone twitters about a topic you’re interested in.
It appears as if twitter is prepping for including ads in [...]

Steve Rubel explained why and how he started his lifestream – i.e. one central site for gathering any part of his digital trail: any Tweets, blogposts, Facebook notes, del.icio.us links and flickr photos. There is a wide range of different streams, that sometimes intersect at certain touchpoints (like I have my flickr images and my [...]

Just a quick note: this could be interesting: apparently, after all the bookmark, photo and video sites, there is one new “user generated content” thing for which VCs put up their money: online games.
Sofar, we have two sites racing for the jackpot: Kongregate and YoYo Games.
I doubt the potential is as big as for [...]

Whoever doubted that widgets can be a fantastic tool for marketing? Well, probably anybody who didn’t think that a widget can actually provide a fun “anything” sponsored by a brand.
Here is a short article about a Red Bull Widget that seems to be the killer app for all those people bored at the office (during [...]

While I am still unsure about the real value of Twitter in marketing, Rohit Bhargava mentions four ideas of how Twitter can be valueable. I still ain’t convinced completely, but getting there…
Capture the live pulse of an event
This is one of the most popular marketing uses that I have seen for Twitter, where it is [...]
