This one has been roaming the net in the last few days:
It has more than 2 Million views already. Who would have thought that this is actually a viral clip for Levi’s? Amazingly well done - both in terms of content as well as spreading it on the net. Who was the agency - does [...]

Just a quick one: Joost shuts down its global operations and focuses on the US only. Shame, I liked the idea of Joost. But in the end, it was brought down by two main factors that even a technologically smart way of streaming videos can’t solve: first: trying to buy global rights for content that [...]

This one is fantastic, I couldn’t resist posting it here:
Reminds me a little bit of the Sony Bravia Spots. Well done, I wish there was more of this kind.
(found it upstream, many thanks, Tim Keil!)

Ben Hourahine, Futures Editor at Leo Burnett explains his vision of future advertising, media usage, etc.
Sounds like that could happen. But then again, nothing of this really struck me as a new thought…?

So you really think that people pay attention? Try this test to find out how good your “attention” skills are.
Amazing, isn’t it? Now imagine people are looking for something specific online on your webiste. Will they notice the ads? I guess, they will. BUT: only if they are relevant or related to what they are [...]

In a similar fashion as the famous “make my logo bigger cream” website now comes a new idea: Christvertising. Pray for your brand.
Not quite as funny as the logo cream idea, in my opinion, but worth watching nevertheless. The holder of the domain is protected by the “contactprivacy” service (which sounds like a good idea [...]

This is a groundbraking figure:
U.S. Internet Users Viewed 10 Billion Videos Online in Record-Breaking Month of December, According to comScore Video Metrix
Not sure, if this is really due to the writers strike as it si claimed there. Could be anything.
Other question: what is the total number of videos watched around the globe? And how [...]

The Wallstreet Journal published a list of the best and worst ad campaigns of 2007. Amongst the best were the ad campaigns of Dove, the Simpsons Movie, Cadbury. Some of the worst were bud.tv, General Motors, Snickers and Chrysler.
Interesting fact: while I have seen/read about all of the good ones, I know none of the [...]

Firebrand now launched, and it has a wide selection of TV commercials online to watch. You can filter them by brand, animation, celebrity, etc. I particularly like the filter-selection “banned”, which could be quite promising in the future.
What I miss: you can’t comment on the ads. You can rate them, but not comment on them. [...]

Sofar, advertising on joost has only been in the form of short ads at the beginning or end of clips. Sort of like the traditional ad model.
Now we have the first attempt at actually providing added value through a marketing tactic. In this case, a widet:
On Thursday, Joost announced that Coca-Cola’s European division has created [...]
