Well, the title is a little overpromising. Sofar, TurnHere.com only covers parts of the USA. But nevertheless, the idea is nice. and some of the films are really made will with a lot of effort by all the individuals. Just like this one here:
New York private eye Dempster Leech weaves a tale of the restaurants, [...]

This book could be interesting: Transformation. A forthcoming book by Grant McCracken, who now, writes a little about his book:
This book argues that there’s a new cultural regime, one that is, I believe, changing how we define the individual, the self, our culture and our economy.
He jumps right into the discussion about [...]

iGod is The Voice of St Matthew’s - a Godcast for sermons, etc.
Sounds crazy, but then again: why not? There will, most likely, be a huge audience for these kind of podcasts. And for the church its an easy way to spread their message.

psfk has a short interview of Chris Anderson, author of “The Long Tail” - a book which I am definitely goint to get.
Somehow I get the feeling that this is already part of Chris’ promotion tour. Not that I blame him, in fact, I hope he will have a very good promotional campaign around [...]

In April, ABC announced that some of their prime time shows will be available online the day after they first aired. Not for free, of course, they contain ads that you cannot skip. (This reminds me of the discussion that arose when bloggers found out that Philips is filing a patent for devices that won’t [...]

We are facing a major insult: we will have to drink Bud inside the world cup stadions and 500m around them, as AdPulp found out.
Three things come to my mind why this doesn’t have to be a major problem:
Manage expectations right: don’t call it “beer”
As far as I know, not many Germans got tickets for [...]

I just followed a link from the Church of the Customer Blog to a movie on YouTube, which is currently highly popular. It had 9 million views on Friday, when the post was written - now it has 12 million. That is an amazingly quick growing number, if anything. But looking at the rest of [...]

A little bit strange at first, but then again very interesting - and very much inviting to watch it at least twice (which means exposure to this ad of at least 4×30 seconds).

A post at psfk pointed me to the fact that BBC 1 is doing a huge party in Dundee, Scotland, for real, and in Second Life, for virtual. They also pointed me to Wonderland who have some more detail on that party.
I myself stumbled upon that party just a few hours ago, however [...]

Adland writes about hoax-marketing including some examples.
There is a new cool Tango Ad picking up the Sony Bravia Ad idea&style - and there even is a fake protest website by the people living in the streets shown in the ad, as Adrants writes.
Business Week features a video interview of Alex Bogusky, part of this feature [...]

How can you facilitate that people will actually watch your movie trailer from beginning to end?
Do what Mel Gibson did with the trailer of his new movie “Apocalypto”. And make sure it spreads through the net.
via Skeeballers:
Towards the end of the trailer, there’s a shot of a monkey. Pause the clip and use the [...]
